Hi, I’m Emily!

I’m a proponent of human-focused therapy. My approach to treatment is not centered around a diagnosis, it is guided by the individualized needs and experiences of my client. My clients would describe me as responsive, engaged and direct. I bring my authentic self to my work, which often means incorporating a social justice lens, pervasive curiosity, and a sense of humor.

Since pursuing my Masters of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I’ve worked in a wide variety of settings ranging from a mental health inpatient hospitalization program in rural North Carolina to a private group practice in Brooklyn, NY. I chose to pursue a career as an adolescent/young adult therapist because I am inspired by the potential for resilience and growth in young people, even in the face of unimaginable adversity.
